MUE 28, profile Ritz 1, 2,5 m wing span, 3,6 kg mass
2002,
MÜ 28, I build new wings with a RG 15 as profile, 2,58 m wing
span, this time I added extra flapperons which allows more
uncritical slow flight.
The wings are attached through 15 mm
round steel used as ballast to get a mass of 4,5 kg. With this
weight the glider has real good performance good weather and a
breeze as prerequisite.
As usual I bought the fuselage at Gewalt Modellbau and build the wings by my own, Styrofoam covered with Abachi. I can use this glider up to a wind velocity of 50 km/h (measured at my house top).
The plan for the modified wings are constructed and drawn using the free available 2D CAD program Solid Edge. (MUE28_Fluegel.pdf).
